This is a picture taken in the early 1990's of the Thomas Whitson Family. Front row Thomas Wylder Whitson wife Hester Loana Sanford Whitson. The six on the left are the oldest son's family. Keith Lankford and his wife Donna Whitson Lankford, Jerry Don behind his wife Cynthia Scott Griffin Whitson, James Randell Whitson and Wife now divorced. The next four are James Hugh Whitson, Justin William Whitson, Judy Booth Whitson and Jamie Rebecca Whitson. Janice Faye Whitson Simpson and her Husband Richard Simpson. third son Thomas Jeffrey Whitson his Wife Kay Ward Whitson and two sons Josh and Jason.

This is one of the oldest pictures I have on the Whitson side of the family. Also, this is the only known picture of Miles Chappell Whitson b. June 18, 1846 m. 1866 d. April 16, 1913. Wife Lishia Jane Stephenson. b. January 17, 1846 d. December 12, 1909. They are buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery Fayette Co AL.

Sampson and Georgeanna Brown
This is a picture of Sampson Brown b. 02-22-1841; d. 02-22-1925 he served in the 50 Alabama Infantry CSA. George Ann Thompson Brown b. 08-20-1849; d. 06-19-1917. One of their daughters, Mary R. Brown married Rufus Davis and their daughter Myrta Davis married John R. Sanford which gets us to my mother, Hester Sanford.

This picture was taken around that date.
This is one of the oldest Pictures of mother, Hester Sanford and her mother, Myrta Davis Sanford. They lived at Frankland Ferry on the Black Warrior River in Walker County, Alabama.

It must have been before Joyce was born so I (Judy Rebecca Booth Whitson) was about 2 years old.
